The Guild
The Guild is a movement within the Church of Scotland which invites and encourages men and women to commit their lives to Jesus Christ and enables them to express their faith in Worship, Prayer and Action.
Our group meets fortnightly on a Monday evening from August to November, on a Monday afternoon from late November to March and in the evening from April to June..
Throughout the session, we enjoy a variety of different speakers, hold fundraising events, Project Lunches, trips to the Theatre and panto, Christmas Party Night and close the session with either an evening or day outing.
The Guild on Monday 25th February 2020 were led through "Creation - Lilies of the field - Garden of Gethsemane" as each theme was portrayed in beautiful flower arrangements. Then these were to be delivered to members recuperating at home to encourage them with the love of their fellow members in the Guild.
The Guild projects that we will be supporting this session are:
Beat - "Blether with Beat", Scotland. Supporting work with young people suffering from eating disorders
Starchild, Uganda. Helping to build a centre where children with a range of disabilities - but particularly autism - can come to learn alongside their peers.
